Jean
Lafitte, the gentleman pirate, the "Terror of the Gulf “, close
friend of Andrew Jackson, and hero of the Battle of New Orleans, was an
exciting legend in his own time. Though he was proficient at sailing the
seas capturing ships and stealing riches, Jean Lafitte knew that he and
his Band of Buccaneers needed a special place to relax and the time to
enjoy family and friends. The secret lair should offer a haven away from
work and worry. Lafitte looked to the safety and beauty of the wetlands
to build his hideaway.
Lafitte’s Landing ,the gateway to the Caddo Lake Experience, is nestled in a
protected hollow, surrounded by Cypress Trees and bordered by the
wetlands. Join us at Lafitte's to "Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler"!
Lafitte's Landing is proud to be certified by the National Wildlife Federation as a Backyard Wildlife Habitat.
